LOCATION

Pacific Mills

300 Canal Street, Bldg 3

Lawrence, MA 01840

As numerous development projects in Lawrence continue to transform the city's historic mill yard, we are thrilled to be hosting our annual event at Pacific Mills! This expansive historic mill is currently undergoing a 3-phase renovation by award-winning developer, Brady Sullivan Properties. The completed project will create a unique mix of commercial and residential space sure to attract an influx of professionals and families to live and work in Lawrence, and serve as a catalyst for the city's future growth.

This new development has also led to Lawrence being chosen as one of MassDevelopment's new districts in its Transformative Development Initiative (TDI), which is focused on leveraging this new investment to spill over into the downtown and spark broader economic opportunities in our city. Don’t miss this chance to get a behind the scenes look at what this investments looks like—and what it will mean for the future of Lawrence.

Join us at our Annual Meeting as we’ll reveal the 4 finalists for the Revolving Test Kitchen (RTK). Try out delicious samples of their food and cast your vote for the Fan Favorite. One of the 4 finalists will move on to become the next resident of the RTK after completing the final phase of the selection process.

Participants in the RTK  have the opportunity to trial their business model, build their capacity, understand their market, and prepare to grow into a permanent location. The program is designed to provide access to free space in prominent café in downtown Lawrence with a high end build out and ample space for storage, prep, and customer space. Beyond free rent, participants receive technical assistance from a number of area partners and personal mentoring from food entrepreneur Sal Lupoli.

Take advantage of our "Why Lawrence?" selfie-booth to give your answer to the question of Why Lawrence?

Mini whiteboards and markers will be provided for you to write-in your answer and snap a photo!

Also at the Annual Meeting, we will be previewing and revealing the next Why Lawrence? video subject!

THANK YOU

Caterer: Delish

Delish is a bakery and cafe established by two young entrepreneurs: Deyanira García and Elizabeth Bautista united with the same ideals and desire to excel. They’re available for all your bakery needs, and at the same time they offer delicious desserts, coffee, sandwiches, trays, personalized arrangements, and catering.

They are a true example of what resilience and hard work are all about in our community, as they were affected by the recent gas emergencies just a few months after launching their business last Summer. They are ready to reopen their doors thanks to broader recovery efforts and resources made available to small businesses like them. Thank you Delish for being one of our preferred caterers and provide us with your delicious pastries!

Caterer: CocoRay's

CocoRay's is a Puerto Rican / Mexican fusion restaurant with the "best tacos in town"! Led by Raymond Gonzalez, CocoRay's started out as a big red food truck that would travel throughout the city and is how Ray first captured many community members' hearts. CocoRay's was the first resident in the RTK and our most recent graduate! Now located on Parker Street, the restaurant has set up a permanent brick'n'motar location and extended the menu to include smoothies, more Boriquen dishes, and much more!

During the Gas Emergency, CocoRay's was forced to close as service was cut to their location for safety purposes. Fortunately, service was restored within a few days, just in time for CocoRay's to come back in style with discounts for those who were affected in South and free meals to those who were in the shelters.
