Arriving with a diverse background both personally and professionally,
Alexa is uniquely suited to serve as the Lawrence Partnership’s new
Communications Manager. Born in Mexico, her family immigrated to the
United States, where they quickly set up shop running a small chain of
restaurants. Through that experience, Alexa saw the incredible tenacity
and work ethic her family of entrepreneurs demonstrated and was
inspired to pursue a career in helping like-minded individuals.
As a graduate of Wagner College, Alexa received both her bachelor’s in
International Affairs (‘10) and her MBA in International Business and
Strategic Marketing (‘12) during her time there. She attended
Northeastern University School of Law (‘15) and upon graduating began
work as an Equal Justice Works Fellow, a nonprofit role in which she
facilitated programs aimed at providing low income and minority
entrepreneurs with the legal resources they needed to grow. Having spent
the last few years working corporate in-house counsel, Alexa is thrilled to
be making the jump back into community and communications work here
at the Lawrence Partnership.
In her role as the Communications Manager, Alexa will not only increase
the awareness and promotion of our organization, but will also add
incredible capacity to our ability to promote the stories of our partners
and our community more effectively. Like all of the other work at the
Partnership, Alexa will focus on building coalitions and working in close
collaboration with others to maximize impact.
