City improves alley behind NECC building

Two years after Northern Essex Community College opened the front door to a sleek new health sciences building that replaced a dingy downtown mall, the school on Friday flung open the back door to an airy, freshly painted alley that for years had been an unwelcoming eyesore behind length of the empty mall.
