Lawrence Partnership's Training Consortium convenes area manufacturers and training providers

Once the home of manufacturing and the center of innovation during the industrial revolution, the Merrimack Valley is still home to a robust manufacturing sector, with countless companies producing everything from military equipment to medical devices. While the industry has weathered dramatic changes in the last 50 years as companies and jobs have left the area, many companies are still here and growing. Moving forward, their ability to scale and innovate is tied to the availability of a skilled workforce. The cultivation of this pipeline of skilled workers was at the heart of the conversation on August 17th, which included nearly two dozen local manufacturers and some of the region's most prominent training providers.
