NECC and Lawrence Partnership Welcome New Lawrence Superintendent

On Tuesday, October 9, Northern Essex Community College and the Lawrence Partnership hosted a welcome reception for Cynthia Paris, the new superintendent of Lawrence Public Schools.

The reception was held on the rooftop of the college’s El-Hefni Allied Health & Technology Center in downtown Lawrence on a beautiful, unseasonably warm fall evening.

Guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks followed by a brief program featuring remarks by Lane Glenn, NECC president; Marianne Paley Nadel, chair of the Lawrence Partnership board of directors; Derek Mitchell, executive director, Lawrence Partnership; Dan Rivera, mayor of Lawrence, Kendrys Vasquez, Lawrence City Council president; John Connolly, chair of Lawrence Alliance for Education; and Paris, who began her new job six weeks ago.
